How does the Green Acorn application work?
|In order to ensure the integrity of the scheme, we now carry out an inspection of the applicant initially before the award is given and then every 2 years. Anyone wishing to apply should contact us to arrange an inspection. The inspector will then assess the measures being taken and discuss the application with the applicant. A visit is then arranged to ensure that the measures are in place. If over 50% of the criteria are met then the award is given. After the award has been given the premises will be re-inspected every 2 years to ensure that the criteria are still being met. Green Acorn Award holders are given a premises sticker and a copy of the logo to use on all of their literature.|
